Learn to make change, set up a budget and start saving. Our popular "Scout Bucks" program is one you'll be able to use all year.

If you are a Brownie leader and would like to use this kit to complete your Penny Power Try-It here is our suggestion for fulfilling the requirements. Of course, it is not meant to infringe upon your own interpretation of the badge or the requirements printed in the Try-It book.

Requirement 2 - Is It Real?
Set up an incentive program for the individual girls in your troop. You can assign a reward amount to responsibilities such as: being prepared for meetings, wearing your uniform, bringing dues, helping with clean up. You can also reward for cookie and nut sales as an incentive to sell more. Set up a market to "shop" at the end of the year. Fake coins and printed "Scout Bucks" are included.

Requirement 3 - Bank On It
Make a bank to start your savings account. Included are: Colored Box and Coin Stickers. You'll also need a permanent marker, craft knife and adult to cut the slot. Project will take about 15 minutes to complete.

Requirement 4 - The Price You Pay
Set up a pretend store and practice making change.  Project will take about 45 minutes to complete. Kit includes fake money and pre-printed tags. You'll also need string and scissors and items to pretend "sell" or you can use pictures from your newspaper circulars.

Requirement 6 - Keeping Tabs
Keep track of how much money you use each week. We've included a coin memo pad. You'll also need a pen or pencil. Project will take about 10 minutes to discuss and is completed at home.
