LESS THAN 60¢ PER PROJECT

Projects are chosen to be economical yet have have lots of "kewl" appeal so your girls will really want to make and wear them. Includes all supplies and easy to follow instructions. All you'll need is scissors, glue, and an item from nature. This kit is very flexible. It can be completed using only square knots or your troop can learn additional knots. Encourage your girls to add their own style and select their own colors from assortment provided.

Available with a "Bag of Extras" for leaders who like to make samples, have extra supplies on hand or to stretch your kit for up to four additional girls. "Bag of Extras" includes 4 boxes, 150 beads, 4 key rings and 400 feet of hemp.

If you are a Junior Girl Scout leader and would like to use this kit to complete your Jeweler Junior Badge here is our suggestion for fulfilling the requirements. Of course, it is not meant to infringe upon your own interpretation of the badge or the requirements printed in the badge book.

Requirement 1 - Jewelry from Everyday Objects
Braid hemp and slide on hand made beads rolled from paper to make a necklace. Kit includes instructions and supplies: hemp, wooden beads, decorative paper. You'll also need scissors and glue. Project will take about 35 minutes to complete.

Requirement 2 - Macramé
Make a macramé bracelet and knot in wooden beads: hemp and beads included with instructions. You'll also need scissors. Project will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes hour to complete.

Requirement 6 - Something Natural
Make a bead out of a rock, shell or sea glass by wrapping it with hemp to string from a knotted necklace. Kit includes instructions and supplies: Hemp, beads and pattern. You'll also need scissors and something from nature. Project will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes hour to complete.

Requirement 7 - Triple Up
Make a key ring using supplied hemp, beads and metal ring. You'll also need scissors. Project will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes hour to complete.

Requirement 8 - Store Your Gems
Decorate a box for your jewelry. Kit includes quality 3" paper mache boxes. You can use left over beads and hemp to decorate or use your own paint and embellishments. Project will take about 20 minutes to complete.

Requirement 10 - Make SWAPs
Make 36 butterfly SWAPs. Kit includes instructions and supplies: Hemp, wooden beads and jewelry craft pins. You'll also need scissors, and hot glue and little tags with your troop information. Project will take about 20 minutes to complete plus SWAPping time. Check out our free online SWAP program.
