Here's a chance to show your girl how groovy we really were!

LESS THAN 50¢ PER PROJECT

These four activities will teach your girls about the late sixties/early seventies. Includes enough supplies for 12 girls. Available with a "Bag of Extras" for leaders who like to make samples, have extra supplies on hand or to stretch your kit for four additional girls.

If you are a Brownie leader and would like to use this kit to complete your "Through the Years" Try-It here is our suggestion for fulfilling the requirements. Of course, it is not meant to infringe upon your own interpretation of the badge or the requirements printed in the Try-It book.

Requirement 2 - Fashion Fun
We've included flower power foamies, smile face foamies, satin cord, pony beads and pins to design and make SWAPs symbolic of that time period. Project will take about 30 minutes to complete. You can make as many as 36 SWAPs or save some of the supplies to decorate your tambourine or flying disc. You'll need your own scissors and glue.

Requirement 2 - Entertainment
Frisbee's became popular in the 1960s. Included in the bag are mini plastic disks you can fly just like Frisbees. You can decorate these using some of your foamies as shown in the picture to the right but will need special glue such as Ultimate Craft Glue.

Requirement 4 - Sing a Song
Folk music was popular and so were tambourines. Sing and dance with your girls while they shake their tambourines. You can decorate the included tambourine with pony beads and cord or save the supplies to make SWAPs.

Requirement 5 - Language of the Times
"Far Out", "Hip", "Groovy" and "Peace" were all "cool" words of the time. Color a sheet and discuss the language of the times. Coloring sheet is included. You'll need colored pencils, crayons or markers to complete. Project will take about 20 minutes to complete.
